San Francisco’s Plan to Bury a Freeway

Long time San Franciscans will remember it fondly as "Deadly Doyle" center barrier or any kind of separation to avert oncoming traffic with everyone speeding along.  That's just how that stuff was built then.  It was definitely 'heads up driving' in each direction, and drivers were fearless.  I remember it well.  :)

The Presidio is getting to be better and better looking all the time. It's great that we'll have access over the roadway to connect to Crissy Field.
