Famous "Dark Passage" apartment for sale...

Joe Marko and Rafael Acevedo (from Paragon Real Estate Group) have a unique listing on the market that Film Noir movie buffs would probably love to check out...particularly anyone who loves Bogart/Bacall movies from the 40's.  The building is located at 1360 Montgomery Street in Telegraph Hill.

As stated in their brochure, "Unit 10 is the famed unit of Lauren Bacall in the movie Dark Passage and still evokes a glamorous interior with curved walls and a private terrace with sweeping views of the Bay Bridge." "...the actual apartment of Irene, Bacall's character in the movie.  While many of the apartment scenes were shot on a set, the building itself is featured prominently in the movie and the common areas remain incredibly intact and original"..

Apparently, the apartment was also used in the 1995 film: Nine Months, starring Julianne Moore and Hugh Grant.  Given the location and history, this 1 bedroom apartment is a steal at $1,500,000Pied-à-terre anyone?

The history of your listing is so special!  Good luck in finding an appreciative buyer!

That is a magnificent-looking unit and certainly will be a prize possession for some lucky buyer. What a view.  I am sure though that there will be some around the country who will gasp at the fact that $1.5M is a steal. Real estate is so local.
