Eat, Drink SF

Eat Drink SF moves to Fort Mason

This Epic Foodie Festival presented by the Golden Gate Restaurant Association is in its sixth year come early August, but events associated actually start before the end of July so it’s not too early to pop it on your calendar! San Francisco is of course known as a foodie (and cocktail) friendly town, and Eat Drink SF is celebrating this by showcasing local chefs, mixologists, wine experts and brewers.

The Grand Tasting event is August 1-3, newly moved to Fort Mason for need of a more spacious layout (originally the event has been hosted tent style in Union Square). The weekend has a different theme for each day and features over 200 Bay Area restaurants, wineries, distilleries and more showcasing their work. The days promise presentations, tastings, classes, competitions, and just straight up parties to be enjoyed.

Leading up to the Grand Tasting are several events associated with Eat Drink SF peppered throughout the City in the coming weeks. You can purchase individual tickets to these smaller programs, or a ticket to the whole event. It sounds like a great way to celebrate our foodie culture and appreciate some new tastemakers while contributing to the greater good, as portions of the different Grand Tasting days benefit several food-oriented local charities.
