|Bernal Heights Tops National List of Hottest Neighborhoods of 2014|
|While many San Francisco neighborhoods have benefitted from urban renewal over the years, Bernal Heights topped a recent Redfin survey of the nation's hottest neighborhoods of 2014. Multiple factors were taken into consideration, such as which neighborhoods are the most searched, which are saved to "favorite" lists, and which come up frequently in real estate-related conversation.
According to the survey, the accessibility, walkability and relative affordability of Bernal Heights all contribute to achieving the top position. The median sales price is on the rise; 38.2 percent over last year. Number of sales and average price per square foot are also moving upward: 19.4 percent and 40.4 percent respectively.
