Spotlight on Sunny Potrero Hill
The average price of currently available properties in Potrero Hill is right around $950,000. Here are a few under $1 million properties in one of the City's hottest neighborhoods:

New on the market is a lovely top-floor condo at 131 Connecticut Street. The two-bedroom unit combines some of its original detailing along with many modern upgrades. The bedrooms and kitchen/dining room afford great views of downtown, and the location is convenient to shopping and transportation. Priced at $929,000.

Another recent listing is the huge penthouse loft at 1000 Pennsylvania Avenue, #10. This one has two master bedrooms, three bathrooms and a private terrace with many high-end amenities. The lower level master suite has a separate entrance making it ideal for a home office. Priced at $898,800.

And to round out the mix, here's a single family, two bedroom home located at 718 San Bruno. While the property has updated utility systems, some cosmetic upgrades are needed. With views of city lights and Twin Peaks, it also boasts a walk score of 88. Priced at $699,000.

Edible Architecture
If traditional properties are unappealing, maybe it's time to experience some edible architecture. The Fairmont Hotel is home to a 22' tall, 23' wide gingerbread house. Built with 1,406 pounds of gingerbread, 1,600 pounds of icing and 724 pounds of decorative candy, the structure was created by the hotel's culinary and engineering staff. The confectionary delight will be on display until year's end. The structure does show a bit of wear and tear. Apparently, some visitors find it hard to resist a taste test of this architectural wonder.

While you're feeling the holiday spirit, remember there's still time to donate to Zephyr's annual food and toy drive, which benefits the San Francisco Firefighters Toy Program and the San Francisco Food Bank. Donations are received at all six Zephyr locations.

Happy holidays!

As a buyers agent I enjoy seeing what others are doing to market themselves and their properties
