Creating Paradise in a 15' x 25' space.

Abundant, personal outdoor space in dense, Urban settings is virtually non-existent.  Every once in a while, there's an exception to the rule.  Of course, one of the 'side benefits' of being in the business is finding clever uses of personal space when touring properties around town.  Here's a fun example (from a small SFR in Ashbury Heights) of what to do with a 15' x 25' rear yard to maximize adding an outdoor "room", extending the living area in what might otherwise be considered a tight, awkward space! The house is situated on a corner lot, and abuts a large two unit building on the opposite side.  The owner created a horizontal 'trellis wall' next to the building (spa tub side) to create an outdoor room feel.

OK...confession.  It's my backyard! ;-)

David what a beautiful addition to this home and yard. The owner sure has a thumbs up coming for this effort.  Good photos as wells.

I love outdoor living spaces like these. Great way to leverage a small area for maximum benefit.

Don ~ They definitely get a thumbs up from me.

John ~ In SF, every square inch seems to count...even more so these days.
